Fire Safety Training
It is now necessary to provide all staff with Basic Fire Training and appoint Fire Wardens and Fire Marshalls in certain places of work. We provide a full range of fire training courses both in-house and at venues around the country. Other available courses include Fire Awareness, Basic Fire Extinguisher Training, Human Behaviour and Fire Manager Training.
In-House Training
Basic Use of Fire Equipment: A one hour course that introduces staff to the workings of fire extinguishers. It includes a short video and a practical ‘hands on’ demonstration of the use of different types of extinguishers. Upon completion of the course a certificate is issued for each member of staff. This course has a maximum capacity of 15 Without Live Fire Demo.
Please note that the above course is available with the invaluable addition of live fire demonstrations, allowing your staff experience in handling live situations. Additional Live Fire Demonstration is available as an add-on to this course adding (dependant on number of attendees) around 1 hour to the length. Please see below course for additional details on live fire demonstrations.
Fire Awareness: As above but during this course students will be aware of the actions to take should a fire occur. On hearing or raising the alarm, the evacuation procedures, assembly instructions and the opportunity to use extinguishers on a live fire. You will need an area of ground safe enough to take the ‘Live’ demonstration about 50’ x 50’ will suffice, and up to 15 people may attend each course (as powder does travel when windy, it is advisable that safe area is away from main roads). Duration 2.5 hours. Live Fire Demo.
Fire Awareness and Marshals: To give a clear understanding to delegates of their responsibilities, duties and role as a Fire Evacuation Warden. To cover theoretical and practical implications this will enable delegates to undertake an efficient and orderly evacuation of the building in an emergency situation. Certificate. Duration 3.5 hours. Maximum of 10 persons per course. Live Fire Demo
